If blue birds can fly over the rainbow, then why can't I?

Equal Opportunity. Everyone should be afforded the same opportunities despite of color, race, class, creed or sexual orientation. It is disturbing to know that in this era people are still looked down on, scorned or become an outcast simply because he/she does not fit into a certain status quo. Why is it still difficult for many of us to accept each other as we/they are?
It is equally important for one to be him/herself, love and accept him/herself for who he is. Do not change or alter your lifestyle, your culture, your beliefs to merely "fit-in." When you are comfortable in your own skin you will earn people's respect and eventually they will come to accept you, albeit your differences. If they don't, well, what can you do? Consider it their loss at not opening up to you because you would continue being who you are by striving to be the best that you can be, while doing your part to make this world a better place one person at a time.

Be true to yourself always and try to overcome the pressures and challenges of the outside world. When you do, not only will you be able to make a difference in your life, but also in the lives of others as well.

Well said. The best part here is that it is "their loss" for not seeing the real you.

I still can't figure out why people have to be treated unfair due to their appearance and personal preference (unless they are affecting others in a bad way). Living in a fair environment is the same importance as freedom.
