High level, not eye level

As I sat down to write this blog post, I had a change of heart about the topic about which I’d write. Actually, I wasn't sure whether to write a piece encouraging you to change some bad and meaningless habit, or write from the heart - on something personal this time around. I chose the latter.

It has been a stressful few months. At times we get so bogged down and caught up with the everyday happenings, fighting with ourselves, getting confused and being miserable that we forget to take a step back and look in from the outside, gain a different perspective. That is my goal today.

To gain new perspective on a problem, we have to elevate ourselves from it. We have to climb above it. Doing so will enable us to see many other possibilities that we would not have otherwise seen if we had stayed on ground level. If we are on the same level as our problems, our problems will overwhelm and consume us.

It's pointless to try to bring problems to ground level - they are what they are and will not change. The best thing to do is to rise above them. Rise above the challenges, and gain perspective from higher ground.
