Celebrating ME!

Posted by Dr. Patrice Smith

Maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had, and what you've learned from them, and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated. ~ Unknown

It's my birthday! (cakes, confetti, laughter, cheers, drinks = paaartay!) Typical huh? But no, not this time around. I've grown a year older; more responsible, more mature, more inspired, more motivated...
Today, I'm celebrating me - in a different way. I'm celebrating my experiences, both good and bad. I'm celebrating the wonderful people that have been a part of my life, the people that has helped to shape my character. I'm celebrating the freckles on my back, my irregular eyebrows, my short stature, my one and only dimple... I'm celebrating the things that make me, me. I'm celebrating my life.

I'm grateful for seeing yet another year, and I thank my readers, my audience for sharing these experiences with me. Without you, I wouldn't exist (or would I?)
