Eye on the prize

Goals provide the energy source that powers our lives. One of the best ways we can get the most from the energy we have is to focus it. This is what goals can do for us; concentrate our energy. ~ Denis Waitley~

This is a workshop, get a pencil and paper:

What are your goals? List five of your most important goals. Next, prioritize them. Look at your list and decide if what you are doing now is making way for these goals to be fulfilled. If not, you may need to re-analyze and re-adjust.
It is important to pen your thoughts. When you write down your ideas you automatically focus your full attention on them. Few if any of us can write one thought and think another at the same time. Thus, a pencil and paper make excellent concentration tools.

As you go through your daily routines, focus your energy on these goals. Keep your eye on the prize at all times - the end result. One key to success is to focus your conscious mind on things you desire. Keep a positive attitude because in the end, all that we are is the result of what we have thought.
It is important to have goals, but don't confuse your goal with your prize. Don't wind up spending all your days making goals - you must fulfill them. Our goals only offer us direction to the prize.

"Goals are a means to an end, not the ultimate purpose of our lives. They are simply a tool to concentrate our focus and move us in a direction. The only reason we really pursue goals is to cause ourselves to expand and grow. Achieving goals by themselves will never make us happy in the long term; it’s who we become, as you overcome the obstacles necessary to achieve your goals, that can give you the deepest and most long-lasting sense of fulfillment." ~ Anthony Robbins~
